I dunno man, I guess it just depends which direction you’re headed in. I mean, everything comes to an end right? There is no messing with that cycle ultimately. So for me personally just comes down to “how are you going to face your death”? Do you wanna cower in fear, holding all your possessions and experiences at front of you like some kind of magic shield or do you wanna straight stride towards it saying “here's my life motherfucker - I dare you to tell me it’s not good enough”. One thing I can say for sure is that no amount of money, prestige, property or power is gonna keep you from your death so you best get in good shape to meet it. We all need a creed, that’s for sure. And our needs evolve. It’s ok to change, to recognise that we can let go of things we once held dear and strike out in pursuit of new goals. You might find that things you used to rely on don’t serve you as you change and grow. Don’t fear your shadow; turn around, reach out with your arms flung wide and grab that shady old bastard. I’m sure you’ll find that the thing you were most afraid of will turn out to be an older version of yourself all along. If you glorify violence or misogyny, set your worth solely by your possessions or get your pleasure from victimising others then be prepared to atone for that shit next time around because karma is a motherfucker and you can NOT escape the consequences of your actions, no matter what you kill, fuck, steal, snort or swallow to ward them off. You can't change the past but you can change how you feel about it. History is an instruction manual not a fucking rule book. Whatever happens in life, good or bad, happens either way and there is always a cause or a reason. And that reason might be that you behaved like an asshole when you should have known better.
